Director of Modernization of Rural Equipment - Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture
Mr. Samba Kanté is the Director of Modernization of Rural Equipment, within the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture since 2017. He is responsible for the development and implementation of agricultural mechanization policies in Senegal. Before that, he held several positions including Director General of SAED (from 2013 to 2017), National Director of Agriculture of Senegal (from 2007 to 2009) and Head of the Agricultural Machinery Program and Post-Harvest Technology at the Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research (ISRA) (from 1990 to 1997). In addition, from 1990 to 2007 he provided the course in Agricultural Machinery, Post-Harvest Technology and Economics of Mechanization at the ENSA of Thiès.
