Reynold Shula
Chairperson - African Conservation Agriculture Network (ACT)
Reynold Shula is the Chairperson of the African Conservation Agriculture Network (ACT)
management Board and Chairperson of the Rural Economic Expansion Services Limited
(REES) Board. He is also a Board member for the PANOS Southern Africa Institute and
past Country Representative for the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation
(WASWC). Mr. Shula is a retired civil servant with more than 40 years of public service and
programme management experience in natural resources management, integrated land
use planning; sustainable land management, conservation agriculture, agronomy and
climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives and negotiations, including more
than 25 years’ experience in consultancy work in sustainable agriculture/natural resources
management approaches and technologies, conservation agriculture, land and water
management technologies and integration of participatory concepts and approaches in
agricultural land utilisation, climate change discourse and staff training among others. He
holds an MSc, Natural Resources Management (Land Resource Major), Cranfield
University at Silsoe, Bedford, United Kingdom.
