Birungi Korutaro

Dr. Birungi Korutaro is a development specialist with more than 15 years of experience in markets and value chain development including formulating agriculture and tourism related investment operations in East and South Africa. She has worked extensively in the agriculture, tourism and oil sectors and is passionate about Africa’s agricultural transformation. Currently, she is the CEO of Kilimo Trust, an East African regional organization that supports agribusinesses and farmers to access markets. Birungi has a PhD in Business Management and Administration, MBA from the Graduate School of Business – University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Makerere University.
